Emerald is a rescued Saddlebred mare with a sad past. Despite her tragic beginnings, she has found safety, love, and a place to belong with us. Naturally skittish and always on high alert, moments of complete relaxation are rare for this beautiful girl. That's why this photo is so special. Caught during an outride, Emerald seems to have forgotten she's a horse altogether and is channeling her inner llama instead! It's impossible not to smile at that adorable face.
